Destinations 050 With Laura May
« on: May 30, 2007, 02:13:19 am »
Today i will host to Guestmix on my show: Dj Laura May From UK!
Bio:

Spending her student loan on some decks, Laura discovered her talent and pure enjoyment of mixing dance music. Her collection started with Hard house, but then Laura found her love of euphoric trance. She now mixes trance, hard trance, tech-trance, and also some house / breaks.

Laura has been mixing since October 2001 and enjoys every aspect of Dj'ing. In addition to mixing music, Laura has now also begun to produce her own music and her first release 'Fan Mail' is available on Resonate Records.

Laura has always strived to play out to crowds and gain more and more experience. This is evident in her determination to succeed in something she so much enjoys. She has handed out demos at every opportunity and entered many competitions. She won the Mixmag Bedroom hero competition in November 2004, which led to a set at the mighty Godskitchen in April 2005 alongside Armin Van Buuren. From this set came a request to play at the Polysexual "Girlysexual" event in July 2005. Laura moved on to play out at two nights in Ibiza in August 2005. A house / breaks set at Kanya Bar, and a trance set for Charlys Angelz at Play2. She has also appeared as the Solid State Showcase on Paul Kershaw's Saturday night show on Galaxy FM.

2006 saw Laura secure a residency with Dreamland based up in Cumbria playing alongside the likes of Riley & Durrant, Matt Hardwick, Judge Jules, and the Tidy Boys.

Destinations 062 With Artento Divini

This Friday i will host to Guestmix on my show a awsome tech producer and dj: Artento Divini!

Some Bio:

Artento Divini started spinning the wheels of steel at the age of thirteen. He temporarily put his fascination for music on the backburner to focus on his career as a professional biker. After reaching the top in sports he decided it was time to pursue another goal. He took up his old hobby, bought professional turntables, vinyl and started his career as a DJ at the age of 19.

Within a short while he was spinnin at his own parties. It didn't take long before he got in contact with the owner of the Scala Dance Theatre where he became resident DJ. He performed besides great names like: Marco V, Bas & RAM and Hennes & Cold. The Friday nights became so successful that his name was set.

After winning the local DJ contest 2002, things picked up fast. He spinned at Xxlerator, (Club Matrixx) and Index in Germany. To top it all off, he picked up his suitcase and left 3 months for Manaus, Brazil, performing at several clubs and parties like Eco System 2.0, The Amazon's largest jungle party.

Back from Brazil and fully inspired, Artento was invited to perform at the After club in Amsterdam. At the After club in Amsterdam he met Melvin Warning. They started working together and started spinning in trendy clubs like XL, The Lexion and The Hemkade. In the year 2006 they performed back to back at the main stage of Pleasure Island.

Furthermore Artento Divini formed a pack with his friend and partner in crime electro drummer Samos (Sam Wijnruits). They performed together at The Fast Forward Dance Parade.

The duo  Divini & Warning delivered a smashing techtrance monster with the track "4LB". The tune got picked up by Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, Marco V and many others. Armin van Buuren even used this track as an opening theme at the main stage of Dance Valley Festival 2006.

At the end of 2006 Divini contacted White Villa Entertainment and made a remix of the gigantic hit of Roy Gates' "Midnight sun".

Right now Artento and Melvin are working on a new Divini Warning track called "Chaib". This track is named after a friend who past away in a diving accident. Chaib was a man who loved his life and that's the message Divini Warning wants to give with this track; don't worry about tomorrow and live today.

In December 2006, Artento Divini starts his own production company and concentrated even more on his music. He now produces his own tracks, alone and with other DJ's. His first new track "Groove in me" will be his first solo project and will be released by Dance Villa (a division of White Villa). Release: march 2007.
