Sonic Element
has created quite a name for himself over the past year, and now he serves up something slightly different from the majority or his past releases to show he has many strings to his bow!

Dark yet uplifting, techy yet driving, Change shows his more progressive side. Layer upon layer of pads and vocal chops build to the climatic break, before dropping down and building again throughout, again making great use of the superb vocals.

Tom Fall, who supplied us with a truly memorable remix of Audien in 2010, is back with another splendid remix. Packed with irresistible grove from the off, Tom uses the elements of the original's breakdown and vocals brilliantly, building the track to a superb sidechained climax!

With their album landing in May, Tritonal definitely hit the ground running with the first single 'Lifted' hitting the number one spot on Beatport.

The second release taken from their debut long-player is Broken Down, featuring the fantastic vocals of Winter Kills songstress Meredith Call.

Yet another stand out vocal track from Tritonal, Meredith's superb delivery is matched by the guys flawless production skills, as shown on their Extended Original Mix and floor ready Club Mix which between them have already chalked up radio support from Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten.

One of Germany's most prodigious trance producers of the past decade, Ronski Speed delivers once again with a mix as tough as it is uplifting, which when added to the Extended and Club Mixes makes this another huge release from Tritonal.

Further remixes coming in Part Two from Shogun, Will Holland and Randy Boyer.

Olivier Picart aka Stonevalley
has quickly established himself as a favourite at Enhanced with some quite superb originals and remixes in 2010.

Now he's back with another top drawer EP. Meditation leads the release and is featured on Digitally Enhanced Volume Four. Definitely different from his past releases but still as big, this track is built around a very distinctive lead, a thumping bassline and techy percussion to boot... making this a very memorable trancer.

Twilight is more akin to his previous releases and builds from the off - fast paced, layers of pads and pluck leads take the listener into the atmospheric break where one of Olivier's signature leads pushes the track into orbit.

Another stellar release from Stonevalley!

This Danish duo's first collaboration was the almighty Sticks & Stones[/b] which stormed the trance charts and saw huge support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten.

We wouldn't bet against this following suit, and it has already been selected by Armin van Buuren to appear on this year's ASOT Compilation. The title says it all, and is very much in a similar mould to its predecessor; beautiful, uplifting trance.

New Enhanced recruit Willem de Roo takes the originals key elements and flips them on their head, turning the production into a chunky, floor shaking prog-trancer; Willem is another name that we believe will join the long line of prodigious Dutch talents in the scene, and this remix shows why.

Another fantastic release from Kandi & Alpha!

New signing Rapha delivers the superb 'Andromeda' to open his Enhanced account. Techy percussion and subby bass drive this prog trancer forward before Rapha's expertly executed, classically tinged lead takes centre stage - and its an absolute monster!

Delivering their second remix on Enhanced Progressive and following on from their huge hit 'The Gift' on Air Up There, Statesiders Norin & Rad once again prove why they're a hot tip for 2011 with a massive remix that will no doubt cause serious dancefloor damage this Spring!

A great debut already suported by Armin van Buuren!

Polls and Reviews / Tritonal - Piercing the Quiet (album :: pre-order)
« on: March 14, 2011, 04:02:51 pm »

PRE-ORDER LTD. SIGNED CD EDITION: http://bit.ly/e9gvzx

In three short years they have become one of the hottest breakout names to storm trance music's world stage. Exceptional studio talents in their own right, Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed banded together to form the prolific music production and DJing partnership Tritonal. Now after assailing dancefloors with one club hit after another, they're ready to release their first long-player.

Very few electronic dance music acts find the speed of success Tritonal have enjoyed. Within the first 12 months of united production their original tracks were being supported by a host of the most renowned and respected DJs on the planet.

With their 7-days-a-week approach to trance music, the prodigious duo have now released an incredible 100+ original productions and remixes. Giving them immense presence throughout the scene, they've recorded for labels like Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats, Ferry Corsten's Flashover and Armin's Armada, as well as 'home-base' Enhanced Recordings and most recently their just-launched sub-label Air Up There.

Adopting this formidable approach, they've also cemented their position as America's foremost trance DJ duo, and have subsequently hard-rocked many leading North American events - Ultra Music Festival, the Electric Daisy Carnival and Spring Love Festival among them.

'Piercing The Quiet' is the culmination of two years of intense studio work, a period that's seen Tritonal push every angle of their inimitable sound to the next level.

Opening with the film-score stylings of 'Poem of Angels', the album ranges out across 15 tracks, taking in the full realm of trance music's sub-genres. With song-writing being a key asset of their partnership, Tritonal have re-teamed with long-term vocal muse, Cristina Soto to craft four magnificent tracks. Included among them are the beautiful down-tempo 'Everafter' and 'Still With Me', as well as a stunning update to their breakout record 'Piercing Quiet'.

Further collaborations see Winter Kill's singer Meredith Call on the gorgeous 'Broken Down'; U.S. songstress Fisher add lyrics and vox to the upbeat 'Slave; and relative newcomers Jeza, Bethany and Jenry R. all provide outstanding vocal performances.

Peak-time main-room floor-stormers come just as quick to the laser, with 'Ziziki', 'Retake' and 'Murakami' all primed to rip roofs off nightclubs and uproot festival tent-pegs right the way through the summer.

Tracklist:

1: Tritonal - Poem Of Angels (Original Mix)
2: Tritonal feat. Jeza - Can't Keep It In (Original Mix)
3: Tritonal - Ziziki (Original Mix)
4: Tritonal feat. Meredith Call - Broken Down (Original Mix)

Jan Martin debuts on Enhanced Progressive with Lost Tonight - and clearly shows he's one to watch having written the lyrics, sung and produced this sun drenched progtrancer.

First up on remix duty is Willem de Roo and Stunson who electo-fy the bassline to wonderful effect before introducing some gorgeous pads to give the track a real lift. Flugschreiber takes the proceedings in a darker direction, making it great early night club material, and Passenger 75 makes a welcome return to Enhanced after a lengthy hiatus. Armin van Buuren - ASOT #496 TUNE OF THE WEEK!

Originally released on Enhanced Progressive last year, Agulo aka Steve Brian's superb collaboration with David Berkeley saw fantastic support from names such as Tiesto and Armin van Buuren.

A release that was calling out for a peak time trance rework has now been delivered in quite emphatic style by a modern day master of euphoria Suncatcher. Crowned Tune Of The Week on Armin's massive A State Of Trance Radio show, this is yet another stunning production from Suncatcher.

Staying true to the emotion of Steve Brian's original, and using David's wonderful vocals quite brilliantly, this is a true anthem of a trance track.

Look out for the follow up single from Agulo and David Berkeley, coming later this spring.

Joni Ljungqvist has been responsible for some of our favourite Enhanced Progressive releases over the years, and now he's back with one of, if not his best to date.

If this record doesn't put a big smile on your face we'll be amazed! The master of melodic progressive trance, Joni's signature sounds are in abundance as the uplifting bassline takes you into the break, where a gorgeous guitar style lead takes over the proceedings, building and building to the climax where the track literally lifts off! Absolutely stunning.

Remix duties fall to another Enhanced star Audien, a man who is definitely white hot at the moment and his remix does not disappoint. Slightly deeper than the original, Nate introduces some lovely vocal chops to create a fantastic atmosphere in the build to the break where he stays true to Joni's original, before building to his own superb, and unique climax.

Last year Adam Nickey kicked off his Enhanced account after a succession of fantastic remixes with the brilliant 'Eleventh Street' under his Blue 8 moniker.

Now he's back, and its been well worth the wait because 'Livia' continues in the same vein and is one of the best pure trancers we've heard in a while. Everyone knows what to expect from Adam Nickey by now - super-tight production matched with gorgeous synth lines and pads; always subtle but always brilliant, and always capable of providing that moment of dance floor magic!

Element One is drafted in the for the remix after numerous impressive productions of late. His dark approach is a great match for the original, providing a classy alternative with its pounding bass and sinister synth lines doing the damage once again.

A crowd favourite at DS, Manuel Le Saux is famed for his euphoric, peak time sets and this has definitely transmitted to his productions over the years.

A double header of huge proportions, the EP is headed by Javelin. Proceeding at a blistering pace, soaring pads and laser etched synths lead the way making this a true hands in the air classic. Stinger, although slightly more restrained in its build, would definitely still be filed in the more euphoric of pigeon holes, as Manuel yet again hits us with an enormous lead that will no doubt be a staple in the sets of the more euphoric DJ's sets over the coming months.

Sweden has been a hotbed for trance producers over the past years, and making a very welcome return to the scene is Adam Szabo.

Having seen Always Alive start in emphatic style with Daniel Kandi's 'Promised', the label will no doubt gather further momentum with this classy production.

Following suit with another peak time gem, Adam's "Radiance" is a superb trancer that will surely see major support from the big guns this spring; already championed by Armin van Buuren on ASOT!

With some excellent future releases already completed from Adam, we fully expect him to cause quite a stir in 2011!
