Release summary:

The debut Iji Recordings release is the collaboration of Russian producer, The Orange and vocalist, K.I.R.A. 'Purple Sky' is also the first offering from The Orange's forthcoming second album 'You Know This Story'.

Progressive harmonies and melodies are perfectly combined with characteristic and recognized percussions from The Orange; the signature sound that makes his tracks that little bit different from those of his contemporaries.

Hot prog guy Ilya Malyuev goes in a more commercial direction with deep beats and percussions set against a backdrop of unusual elements and atmospheric sounds.

Meanwhile, Mobilize has added in a package of heavier techy bits, with the end result being two grooving and driving remixes. Dirty and dynamic, these tracks will work perfectly on the dancefloor!

Enhanced heavyweight Joe Garrett is back with believe it or not, his first original vocal production. Featuring the sultry vocals of Hannah Ray - know best for her recent 'Nadia' release, this is a top quality collaboration between two people who are on top of their game right now.

Those expecting a full on peak time track may be taken aback by the laid back progressive nature of Joe's original, however you will not be disappointed by the sheer quality and layers it possesses. Also included is the Intro Mix, as used by Will Holland on Digitally Enhanced Volume Three.

The remix falls to fellow Enhanced stalwart Estiva, who really turns out something quite special, with a breakdown to die for.

The Red Force brand is one of the few labels out there along with Perceptive and Fenology, that rarely leaves me dissapointed. Always aiming for quality over quantity as well as not limiting themselves too much to one subgenre, as many digital labels tend to do. Amazing A&R skills which has resulted in strong original mixes and just the right remixers to bring the alternative versions. Newcomer "Driving Force" is delivering the title track. On the remix we have Sunny Lax back again on Red Force after his immense single debut on the label back in September 2009 (which I also had the pleasure to review). Second remixer, and I'm proud to present, is Forerunners aka. Brenden LaBonte. While my interest in trance isn't as great as it used to be, I can safely say that this guy delivered two of the best remixes within the uplifting trance category in the past two years (Later Summer Fields, Sensual Illusion). This package looks to be something special!

Review

Original Mix
A fast-paced uplifter with quick, teasing melody hints. It breaks out in an Anjuna'ish breakdown with an interesting lead line. It's absolute full throttle from the get-go and seems like a must have for the uplifting lover!

Sunny Lax Remix
Sunny adds his unique touch to "Through The Years"; the bassline has much more presence in his mix and he draws out the melody in an interesting way. This mix has such a lovely drive, flow and Sunny manages to bring out flavours that wasn't as clear in the original mix.

Forerunners Remix
Brendan opens his remix with a very cinematic and epic intro. A sort of vibratic and hypnoticing sound keeps getting closer and as the kick drum enters you can feel the percussion opening up as well. The snare drum is then slammed in and then the different basslines, choirs and subtle melodic lines comes to play. It's all done in a very careful, thoughtful and dramatic way. Some might feel that the build-up is too slow but I feel drawn to it. No big stadium supersaw leads, just smooth underlying melodies and a great phat atmosphere.

A strong original but with two remixes that without a doubt stand out!

Having teamed up with Josh Money earlier on Enhanced, Abdul Bayyari returns alongside Shota Mochizuki, and again featuring the superb vocals of American Josh Money who is no stranger to Enhanced.

The original builds and builds around Josh's super slick vocals, making this a real smooth trancer - one that's difficult to pigeonhole too as it encompasses the best traits of progressive and uplifting trance.

Remixes come from Will Holland, who adapts a classic Enhanced sound to his remix, and Kris O'Neil, who takes the track in a more techy route in comparison to his past Enhanced outing.

The former Fast Distance man shows once again with this stunning double header that like his fellow Enhanced counterparts, that he's not going to let the standard slip one bit as he proves he's able to follow in the footsteps of our other more established artists when it comes to really making a name for himself as a constant, quality trance producer.

Winter heads up the package and is probably his strongest track to date, and without a doubt a track that was born to rock the dance floor with its pounding bass and lush, spine tingling melodies.

He doesn't drop the baton on the b-side either, as Someone Else continues in similar style and will please fans of Lost Without You.
