On April 26, Representatives Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Donald Manzullo (R-IL) introduced a bill into Congress called the "Internet Radio Equality Act" (H.R. 2060) that will save Internet radio.

Key provisions to the bill include: nullifying the recent CRB decision, establishing a fair "transitional" royalty rate based on listening hours or a percentage of revenue, and changing the standards by which Internet radio royalties are determined in the future (putting them in the same standard as satellite radio).

Please call your members of Congress as soon as possible and ask them to cosponsor the "Internet Radio Equality Act" (H.R. 2060) introduced by Representatives Jay Inslee (D-WA) and Donald Manzullo (R-IL). You can fill in your ZIP code and quickly get a list of phone numbers to your Representatives and Senators here. More info including a copy of the current bill is available at the RAIN Newsletter.

UPDATE: On May 10, Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Sam Brownback (R-KA) introduced the "Internet Radio Equality Act" into the Senate (S. 1353). Please also call your Senators and ask them to support this bill!
